The Community of communes Rhôny Vistre Vidourle
The community of communes of Rhôny Vistre Vidourle is an inter-commune structure French, located in the Département of Gard. It was created in January 2001 and is made up of 10 communes gathering a population exceeding the 20 000 inhabitants.

Organization
With its in December 2000 creation its perimeter and its statutes were approved by the municipal councils of the 9 common founders to the quasi unanimity (114 votes for 0 against 2 abstentions). The tenth commune (Strokes and Solorgues) was then associated by unanimous vote with all the councils. Its Community council counts to 33 titular advisers 33 temporary advisers. Its president is Rene Pourreau mayor of Gallargues, 9 vice-presidents represent the 9 other communes.
Fields of competence
In 2005, its scope were extended to the management of the seven Crèche S, of the seven recreational centres, the ten school restaurants, the extra-curricular services of nursery, town planning (including the instruction of the permits building and comparable authorizations), of a inter-commune Municipal police - the second to be structured in France - which patrols every night with 12 agents, like with the promotion of tourism and the management of a network of footpaths.To act the community has of 200 civils servant and an annual budget of 14 million euros (in 2007). Its seat is in Gallargues in a building of 1300 m ² in the center of the active city which it carried out. In addition, qualified as of its creation to promote the economic activity, the community intervened with Acute-Sharp, Aubais, Vestric and Candiac, and carried out in Gallargues a park of activity of 40 hectares that the S.C.O.T diagram of coherence of the southern territory Gard classifies within the four major economic sites of the 75 communes of this territory.
