The Community of common Coast of Light
The Communauté of common Coast of Light is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the the Vendée and the area Pays of the Loire.
Composition
It includes/understands the following communes:- Brem-on-Sea: 2.054 inhabitants (1999)
- Brétignolles-on-Sea: 3.182 inhabitants (2004)
- Fenouiller: 3.213 inhabitants (1999)
- Saint-Gilles-Cross-of-Life: 7.189 inhabitants (2004)
- Saint-Hilaire-of-Laugh: 8.761 inhabitants (1999)
This unit corresponds to the littoral communes of the Canton of Saint-Gilles-Cross-of-Life.

History
The community of common was created by order of the prefect of December 9th, 1996. It was named according to tourist name “Côte of Light” which indicates the Vendean littoral. It is member with the community of communes Atlancia of the Mer mixed trade-union and Life created on April 11th, 2001 whose perimeter corresponds exactly to the territory of the canton of Saint-Gilles-Cross-of-Life.
