The Community of agglomeration of the Valley of Yerres

The community of agglomeration of the Valley of Yerres (exact name: The Valley of Yerres community of agglomeration shortened in VYCA) is a Communauté of French agglomeration , located in the department of the the Essonne and the area Île-de-France.

The community of agglomeration was created on March 22nd 2002.

Addresses seat: 78, Route Nationale 6 - BP103 91805 BRUNOY.

The president is Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, mayor of Yerres.

Composition

The community gathers six common:

It counts, with the census of 1999,86 603 inhabitants.

Competences

Obligatory :
1 - As regards economic development
Creation, installation, maintenance and management of zones of industrial activity, commercial, tertiary, artisanal, tourist, harbor or airport which are of Community interest; development actions economic of Community interest.

2 - As regards Community fitting-out
Information system strategic plan and diagram of sector; creation and realization of reachs development concerted of Community interest; organization of the urban transport within the meaning of chapter II of title II of the law n° 82-1153 of December 30th, 1982 of orientation of the inland transports, subject to the provisions of article 46 of this law.

3 - As regards social balance of the habitat
Program local habitat, housing policy of interest Community; actions and financial aids in favor of the social housing of Community interest; land concerning the implementation of the Community policy of social balance of the habitat; action, by operations of Community interest, in favor of the housing of the underprivileged people; improvement of the built housing stock of Community interest.

4 - As regards policy of the city in the community
Contractual devices of urban development, local development and economic and social insertion of Community interest; local devices, of Community interest, prevention of the delinquency.

Optional :
1 - Water.

2 - Protection and development of the environment and the framework of life: fight against pollution of the air, fights against noise pollutions, elimination and valorization of waste of the households and waste assimilated under the conditions fixed by the L.2224-13 article of the CGCT.

3 - Construction, installation, maintenance and management of cultural and sporting equipment of Community interest.
