The community of agglomeration of Villefranche-sur-Saône is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the the Rhone, and the area the Rhone-Alps.

History

the district of Villefranche-sur-Saône, created in 1962, gathered the 4 communes: Arnas, Gleizé, Filed and Villefranche-sur-Saône. In 1971, a merger plan of communes does not lead. In 2002, the legislation transforms the District into the Community of communes of the agglomeration of Villefranche-sur-Saône.

In 2006, the structure becomes finally a community of agglomeration, only having its seat in the department of the Rhone.
