The Community of agglomeration of Choletais

The Communauté of agglomeration of Choletais is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the Maine-et-Loire and the area Pays of the Loire.

History

“ the law of July 12th, 1999 encourages the communes to exert together their competences on a relevant and interdependent territory, better adapted to the stakes of tomorrow. ” ---- January 1st, 2001, following the vote of the 8 common members, was born the Community from Agglomeration of Choletais.

Since January 1st, 2002, the communes of Romagna, Séguinière, Holy Christophe of Wood, Holy Leger under Cholet and Mazières in Mauges joined the Community of Agglomeration.

Economies of scale
For each field of competence, the community unifies a whole of means of management and development (as a personnel and financial means).

Objective

  • To reinforce inter-commune solidarity
  • To facilitate the development and the expansion of its territory
  • To allow the optimization of the resources of the communes
  • To encourage the emergence of new projects
  • To position and promote the basin choletais by affirming a real ambition of extension

Financing
In addition to a total equipment of operation poured by the State, the Community of Agglomeration levies a single professional tax on the whole of its territory.

Decision-making process
The Community Council, decisional body of the Community of Agglomeration, is composed of 63 deputy elected officials, representing the 13 common members.

Creation, installation, maintenance and management of the zones of industrial activities, tertiary, commercial.

Fitting-out - transport
Concerted development reachs, information system strategic plan, participation in the urban transport and school…

social Balance of the habitat
Program local habitat, actions in favor of the people disadvantaged, improvement of housing stock on the territory.

Political of the city
Urban development, economic and social insertion, prevention of the delinquency…

Community Roadway system of interest
Installation and maintenance of the communal ways of Community interest.

Cleansing
Collect, transport, purification of waste water, elimination of muds of all the agglomeration…

Environment - management of waste
Fight against the harmful effects (noise, air pollution), collection and treatment of the household refuse…

Zones of activities in 2006

*Le Cormier
It adds up today 2.800 employment and 85 companies. Its 4th section (of 55 hectares), in edge of the RN 249, is such a success that one 5th section is being studied.
*L' Rider
Started in 2005, it is a zone of diversified activities (tertiary, commercial and industrial) of 160 hectares (including 100 marketable and 50 in green areas and natural) located at the northern entry of Cholet, in the vicinity immediate of the northern exchanger of A87.
a factory of production of sailing ships, a large surface of do-it-yourself, 4 buildings tertiary. are sleep and already left ground. Restaurants and hotels, a wholesaler of the sector Building, an automobile concession, manufacturers of swimming pools, a trade of pieces of furniture and another of chimneys, new buildings of a large countable cabinet, the " Colisée" (30 000 m2 of sales area on a ground of 10 hectares). will join soon.
the entirety of marketable surfaces were sold in two years instead of the five years envisaged initially.
* the Puy-Saint-Bonnet
Its zone of activities is entirely occupied since 2005. A study is in hand for an extension from here to at the end of 2006.
a small artisanal zone of proximity is being studied.
  • It May-on-Èvre
zones of Bordering and Contrie: all the free buildings belonging to the CAC were sold. In addition, a study is in hand to finish the installation of the zone of activity of Contrie. the 3 zones of White Field, Appentière and Poteau are also the subject of a study for their extension. Their specialization towards technological activities and their proximity with the zone of the Rider, make some more than ever the spaces of establishment particularly coveted by the activities of point. the zone of Ruail should see in 2006 the construction of the building of a plasturgic factory, which, up to now, occupied two workshops of the seedbed of companies. In 2006, the zone of Peltière should see the installation of a painter in rough-casting and the construction of an extension of 3.000 m2 for a manufacturer of articles of chimneys. the zone of the Park does not lay out any more only one m2 available. A shipping company already present on the site moreover will double its storage capacity with the construction of a new building of more than 3.000 m2, thus accelerating the extension of the zone of the Park: approximately 5 hectares initially and more than 20 hectares in the long term. the 3 Wood zones of the Poles, Claireau and Hermitage post complete for a long time and the low surface of the commune makes almost impossible the creation of new zones except perhaps in direction of Beaupréau (with the study). *La Bergerie
the 5th section (of 22 hectares) open in 2005 will be occupied with more than 50% from here at the end of 2006.
*La Ménardière
Marques Avenue (together commercial moreover 30, signs in average and top-of-the-range clothing inaugurated in 2005) made school on the zone which records many requests for establishment for new signs.
*Zone of Large Wood
Less than 5.000 m2 remains still available.
the zone of Montevi saw melting its last 3 hectares available. The installation of a new zone will be examined in the 2 or 3 next years. the zone of the Moor which has just accommodated an automobile dealer, is on its side the subject of several studies of establishment for local artisanal companies under development full. the zone of Coindrie is almost occupied to 100% and does not allow the companies established any more to continue their development. The opening of a new zone is envisaged right now, in edge of the RN 160, from here at 2008-2009. the zone of the Chain will be the object this year of a requalification which envisages in particular the hiding of the electric lines.
