The Community of agglomeration Towers More

The Communauté of agglomeration Tour (S) Plus is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of Indre-et-Loire and the area Center.

Composition

The community of agglomeration Tour (S) Plus gathers 14 communes, for a total population of almost 260.000 inhabitants.

Competences

the community of agglomeration exerts four following obligatory competences:

  • Community Economic development
  • Fitting-out
  • social Balance of the Political habitat
  • of the city

the community of agglomeration exerts four following competences selected by the five options appearing in article L.5216-5II:

  • Creation or installation and maintenance of Community roadway system of interest, creation or installation and management of car parks of interest Community
  • Cleansing
  • Protection and development of the environment and the framework of life
  • Construction, installation, maintenance and management of cultural and sporting equipment of Community interest

History

Great projects

Some projects of the Tourangelle agglomeration:

  • the creation of a media library with Turn-North;

  • establishment of a theater with Play-the-Turns;
  • the reorganization of the site gathering the Exhibition site, IKEA, the Telamones, and the Stage of the valley of expensive;
  • the installation of the new District of the Two-Lions of Turns (70 ha);
  • the realization of a tram;
  • the construction of the peripheral North-eastern;
