the City of the ladies is an account of Christine de Pisan published in Paris in 1405.

This city is consisted seven masterly blocks of stones which carry each one the name of famous women: Sémiramis, the Amazon, Frédégoride, Clélie, Bérénice, Zénobie and Artémis.
