the Châtillon-on-Marne is a common French, located in the department of the Marne and the area Champagne-Ardenne.
History
March 1st, 2006, part of the communal territory was detached to become the commune of Cuisles.

a statue of Urbain II, native of the village, is set up on the feudal mound which carried the keep of the castle. It was built in 1887 and makes 33 meters height. It is possible to reach the arm, via an interior staircase, in order to benefit from the panorama.
Personalities related to the commune
- Eudes de Châtillon was born in 1042 in Châtillon. It becomes Pape in 1088 under the name of Urbain II. He died in Rome in 1099.
