The Child with the sword
the Child with the sword is a table carried out by the painter Edouard Manet in 1861. Work represents the natural son of the artist, Leon Leenhoff, disguised in page of the court of Spain of the XVII E century. The table was carried out in the workshop of the Rue Goyot.
Typical of the period hispanisante of Manet, the table indicates the very strong influence that Diego Vélasquez and Frans Hals had on him at that time. Child with the sword
