Geography

This commune was a village-border with Germany between 1871 and 1914.De many architectural elements and old postcards testify to this past, where the village knew a strong occupation of the German army, installed on the hillock of Froidmont.

Personalities related to the commune

Charles the Pea, doctor of the duke of Lorraine and senior of the medical college of Pont-à-Mousson, was lord of Champey. He perishes in 1633 during the great plague of Nancy.
