Around film
For this terrifying film, Arturo Ripstein took as a starting point a real news item of the Années 1950. This history appeared already in a novel of Shine Spota, carcajada LED gato (the laughter of the cat) and the part of Sergio Magaña Los motivos LED lobo (reasons of the wolf). At the beginning, it was to be a question of a film with Dolores del Río, then the production decided to change realizer. Ripstein then carried out film on its side, without high-speed motorboat, in a studio of the state. The influence of Luis Buñuel is sensitive through the strange and cruel history, but also through the choice of the actors: three of them had turned in Mexican films of the Spanish realizer.
