the Caste of the Méta-Barons is a cycle of cartoons representing the history of a family: Méta-Barons.

Note: the orthography “métabaron” is also frequent, but that retained by the integral of the albums of the series is well “Méta-Baron” (with two capital letters and a hyphen).

This history proceeds in a future moved away, where reign a pretense of chaos and where many factions deliver a perpetual combat, the whole being directed by a family of very powerful emperors, alive on a gold planet.

The Méta-Barons are men coming from the same family and being regarded as the most powerful warriors of the Univers.

Each generation of the family comprises her Méta-Baron, and the legend wants that each son is increasingly more powerful than his father, and for this reason in the majority, the son must always beat and kill his father in a singular combat. The Mutilation is also a rite of initiation of the Méta-Barons: Othon is castrated, Aghnar does not have feet, Tête of steel not of head, it misses a hand with Aghora and an ear with Without-Name.
