Synopsis
In frontispiece: This film is dedicated respectfully to the pioneers of the psychoprophylactic method of painless childbirth. It was carried out with the assistance of the maternity of the metallurgists in Paris where this method was practiced the first time in France in 1952.Doctor Laurent is constrained, for health reasons, to leave Paris. He settles in a small borough of the Alpes-Maritimes. He must replace Doctor Bastide become too old to continue to exert. After having made the turn of the village under the direction of Doctor Bastide, Doctor Laurent begins his consultations. Very quickly he is requested by many villagers. Francine, country young person, reveal to him that it is pregnant. Mister and Mrs Loubet agree it on their premises, but during maintenance, Catherine Loubet returns it. Man of good, methodical, Doctor Laurent wishes, to give courses on the painless childbirth. Inevitably, its decision made jaser the village on its account. Also the doctor it is obliged to go in his patients to teach the new practices to them. Soon, people of the neighbouring villages visit it. The doctors of the neighborhoods fear competition and with the assistance of the municipality address a petition to the council of the order. Convened, Doctor Laurent will make a success of the childbirth of Francine following the new methods.
