The term the British Antilles relates to all the colonial territories of the Caribbean Sea or their proximity in the West of the Atlantic Ocean Northern having been long enough in the past under domination of the the United Kingdom so that the English language is the principal language today.

These territories are autonomous dependences of the the United Kingdom, and on the European level of the Pays and overseas territories (OCT).

Old British colonies of the Caribbean

These territories independent or are attached today to another country. The majority adhere to the the Commonwealth and recognize the sovereign of the British Couronne like their Head of State, except for the Guyana and of Trinity-and-Tobago.
