The Brain (X-Men)

the Brain ( Mastermind in English) alias Jason Wyngarde is an Super-unpleasant mutant pertaining to the universe of Marvel Comics. it appeared for the first time in X-Men vol.1 #4 (March 1964) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. It was in the beginning a member of the Confrérie of the Bad Mutants of Magneto.

One of its most important appearances with place when the Club of Damnés runs up for the first time against the X-Men, the interior Circle handling the spirit of Jean Grey/Phoenix and kidnapping several members of the team of the mutants. the Brain, believer to dominate Phoenix, loses the control of its victim and releases the Phoenix Noir (these events are known under the name of the Saga of the Phoenix Noir ).

It also handled the love of Wolverine for Lady Mariko Yashida.

It has two girls, Martinique Wyngarde alias Mastermind III and Regan Wyngarde, Lady Mastermind, which inherited its capacities.
