the Boulay-Moselle (German: Bolchen) , locally known under the name of Boulay , is a common French, located in the department of the the Moselle and the basin of life of Moselle-is. It is one of the Sous-préfecture S of the area Lorraine.

Its inhabitants is called Boulageois.

The city is often indicated, in the spoken language, under the name of Boulay , but its official name, since tens of years, is well the Boulay-Moselle (at an unknown date, before even the creation of INSEE in 1943).

Tourist monuments and places

Boulay had a very famous manufacture of organ, you can see this monumental organ in the church. Boulay has also its speciality: Macaroons of Boulay. This small company exists since 1854, the Alexandre family took again it in 1961. Today, Jacques Alexandre directs this small company. These macaroons always preserved the original receipt and remains completely artisanal, the macaroons are formatted at the spoon.

Twinnings

The Boulay-Moselle has been twinned with Mengen (Germany) for more than 40 years and of many exchanges perdurent.

With the college Victor-Itches, the pupils of European class German have as correspondents of the German schoolboys of Mengen. Voyages are organized every year.

The Harmonies of Boulay and Mengen meet they also regularly with the wire of the voyages organized by the municipalities for twinning. It is each time the occasion to play together, because the music is universal and makes it possible to exceed the barriers of the languages. These moments of division are appreciated musicians, but also of the public of the two cities.
