The Livre of the voyage is a Essai of Bernard Werber published in 1997.
Characteristics of the work
It is a work known as experimental because the book is addressed to the reader by addressing as tu it and is presented as a companion who will guide it in an interior voyage.
The Livre of the voyage takes again certain codes of the Deliver-play ( account of which you are the hero ): progressively of the adventure, the reader is invited to to imagine and visualize objects and places starting from summary descriptions of the book. This process of visualization which occurs in an unconscious way during the reading of a novel is used consciously by the reader to create the various elements of the voyage.
However, although the Livre of the voyage is described as being interactive, this definition is limited because the book does not react literally to the choices of the reader. The imagined elements are nevertheless specific to each reader according to his Créativité, of its Sensibilité and lived sound.
Course of the voyage
This voyage crosses four kingdoms: that of the air, that of the ground, that of fire and that of water.
