the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains is an administrative area of the province of Quebec, located on southern bank of the St. Lawrence, vis-a-vis the town of Quebec, between the areas of the Center-of-Quebec and the Low-Saint-Laurent. It owes its name with the Rivière Boiler crossing it of the south in north and the mountains the Appalachian Mountains composing its southern part. It is made up of 9 regional municipalities of county (MRC) and 136 municipalities.

It seems that following the example renewal of fruitfulness of Quebec in 2006, that the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains does not escape this increase. The Boiler-Appalachian Mountains posts indeed a fruitfulness higher than the Quebec average. Even if certain MRC post a decrease of population, the global population of the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains increases thanks to the strong demographic vitality of the area of Lévis and Beauce. According to the scenario has reference of the Statistical institute of Quebec, the population of the administative area in 2011 should reach 397.458 inhabitants, but this figure is already exceeded. If the tendency is maintained, the area can hope for a decrease of the population pushed back beyond 2015.

- Fall-of-the-Boiler: Picardy Marc (ADQ) with 16.731 votes of majority
- Montmagny-L' Islet: Claude Roy (ADQ) with 1193 votes of majority
- Beauce-North: January Gurnard (ADQ) with 11.071 votes of majority
- Beauce-South: Claude Morin (ADQ) with 9078 votes of majority
- Lotbinière: Sylvie Roy (ADQ) with 9752 votes of majority
- Bellechasse: Jean Domingue (ADQ) with 3711 votes of majority
- Frontenac: Laurent Lessard (PLQ) with 1609 votes of majority
As we can note it the area of the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains was at the conclusion of the last election and by far the area on the right on the political scene. The electoral results are there to prove it, the ADQ is good first in this area with 7 deputies elected out of the 8 regional seats. Formerly an area has rather liberal tendency, it seems that the latter adopted the colors adequists.
