the Board ( " Plaunch" in Gallo/Poitevin) is a common French, located in the department of the Loire-Atlantique and the area Pays of the Loire.
The inhabitants of the commune name the Planchots and Planchottes .
A regular connection of bus connects the Board with the Roche-sur-Yon and Nantes, 3 times per day: morning, midday and evening.
In the first centuries of our era, the Romans were established in the area and built a way which connected Nantes to Saintes (of which there remains the way marking the limit with the commune of Remouillé). Later, of the tradesmen were established to with it. Indeed, the borough of Vieillevigne whose Board constituted a hamlet, belonged to the common Marches avantagères of Brittany and of the Poitou, which made it possible its inhabitants to carry out transactions from one province to another without paying rights. This privilege lasted until with the Révolution of 1789.
A parish is created in 1837, and the corresponding commune is created in 1855.
