The Blue Sparrowhawk

the blue Sparrowhawk , is a series of Cartoon. The hero traverses the world, discovers disappeared civilizations, faces insane scientists and makes a small turning by the the Moon.
The adventure and expatriation are the principal elements of the stories. The sparrowhawk is not an intellectual who reflects a long time before acting. It sinks immediately and does not hesitate to use its fists (and especially those of his/her friend Larsen) to regulate the delicate situations.
The series knew two interruptions. The first, due to the Second world war, obliged the author to brutally finish the adventure in progress in 1943.
The second interruption goes back to 1951. At the time, a law of 1949 controlled the publications intended for youth. He was badly seen, in the data bases, to handle the firearms (if one were not military career) or to make believe that he could exist insane scientists. On these aspects, the blue sparrowhawk had many unpleasant points for the censure: it went until using guns to shoot at its enemies, it attracted all the insane scientists of the world and even dared to make accept the young generations that to go on the Moon was possible. Result: the series had to stop.
It started again in 1973 with a modified graphics.
The creator of the series is Sirius which drew all the episodes of them. He was assisted by Jean-Marie Brouyère for the scenario in 1973 and 1974.
This series was published at Dupuis with a republication in the collection Youthful indiscretions. It is republished on line on Internet by the Coffre with data base.
