The Blue Angel (label)

the Blue Angel ( Blauer Engel ) is a écolabel of German origin, created in 1977. It is decreed by the Umweltzeichen Jury, composed of 13 members (defense associations of the environment, defense of the consumers, trade unions, etc).

It is decreed only with products in conformity with a particularly strict considered schedule of conditions. One does not count less than 4.000 certified products " Der Blauer Engelen" in Germany.

The Blue Angel is member of the Global Ecolabelling Network.

Logo

The logo of the Blue Angel takes again the initials of the Programme of the United Nations for the environment (PNUE).
