The Bar of the day
the Bar of the day , a literary Re-examined Québécois of avant-garde, made appear, of 1965 with 1977, fifty-seven deliveries. The name of the review comes from the expression of the soil which means " to raise soleil" (" with the bar of the jour" : with the paddle).
The review was founded, on February 18th, 1965, by young authors, then student at the University of Montreal, Nicole Brossard, Marcel Saint-Pierre, Roger Soublière and Jan Stafford. Its stimulating and its organizers intended to promote creation and the theory arts persons by exploring new avenues and by taking an unquestionable distance compared to the institution.
Among the poets who collaborated in it, one counts Michel Beaulieu, Claude Beausoleil, Louise Bouchard, Jean-Yves Collette.
She was replaced by the New Bar of the day - as from 1977 - and she appeared under this name until 1990.
