the feudal castle : the ruins which one sees by far, are still the remainders, very important, of the old feudal castle that the count de Suze took with the huguenots and that it ransacked, in 1574.

the church is one of most curious buildings about all the Dauphine one. The thickness of its walls shows XIe century. It would have been built at the time of the first crusade by a noble knight who wanted to make his tomb of it. It took model, says one on the church of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and the four apses which it made raise formed a Greek cross. The wars of religion having destroyed the parish church, one cut down the apse of the East and one built the current nave without much interest. The three remaining apses became the sanctuary of the current church and form a clover. Their posts with capitals of an exquisite taste and all their elegant decoration make the church of Balsam-of-Transit one of most beautiful monuments of Tricastin.
