The Béthanie-with-beyond-of-Jordan
Béthanie beyond the Jordan , named in Arabic “Al-Maghtas”, is the area located in the outer loop of the the Jordan vis-a-vis Jericho and which was identified as the place where Jesus was baptized by holy Jean Baptiste. The site of the baptism of Jesus with Bethanie is one of the archaeological discoveries and the most recent nuns.
