The Béthanie-with-beyond-of-Jordan

Béthanie beyond the Jordan , named in Arabic “Al-Maghtas”, is the area located in the outer loop of the the Jordan vis-a-vis Jericho and which was identified as the place where Jesus was baptized by holy Jean Baptiste. The site of the baptism of Jesus with Bethanie is one of the archaeological discoveries and the most recent nuns.

With less than 02 km in the east of the Jordan another important site associated with the life is Jesus and saint Jean Baptist, they are the foundations Béthanie where holy Jean Baptiste lived and proceeded to baptêmes.
