The Anarchist Cookbook
The Anarchist Cookbook ( the Recipe book anarchists ), written like proclamation against the government of the United States and the War of Vietnam, is a book of William Powell published in 1970. The book contains receipts and instructions for the manufacture of explosives, drugs and a certain number of apparatuses of telecommunications. It treats also methods to kill naked somebody with hand and other topics discussed. In spite of the name, the book does not have any bond with the anarchistic movement , and is criticized per many anarchists.
The author declared that it is, in 2007, in dissension with the central idea of the book, namely “that violence is an acceptable means to cause a political change” and required that the book not be protected from the copy. However, the Copyright is held by the editor, thus Powell does not have any control of publication and does not receive any royalty. However, the editor temporarily diffused the book on his Internet site.
On the level of the law
Whereas the anarchistic book of kitchen is legally available to the the United States, it is illegal in many of other countries. The contained informations in the book include instructions which, if they are followed, can be illegal. For this reason, the access to the book is often restricted, certain bookstores refusing to sell the book to the people of less than 21 years. The authorities and the experts as regards ammunition declared that the instructions in the book should never not be tested by an inexperienced individual.
