The Alps lépontines

The the Alps lépontines are a solid mass Montagne ux located in the central part of the the Alps between the Suisse and the Italy. They are with horse on the cantons of the Valais, of Uri, the Grisons, the Tessin and on the Italian areas of the Piedmont and of Lombardy.

Situation

The Alps lépontines are drained by the the Rhone and the the Rhine in north, Toce in the west, and are traversed in direction of the south by the Tessin. Lastly, they are bathed by the Lake Maggiore, the Lac of Lugano and the Lac of Like in north.

They are surrounded by the the Valaisan Alps/pennines in the west (beyond the Simplon pass), the the Bernese Alps, uranaises (Col of Furka) and glaronaises (Col of Oberalp) in north and the the central Eastern Alps (Chaîne of Plessur, Chaîne of Oberhalbstein, Chaîne of Bernina, the Alps bergamasks) in the east (Col of Splügen).

They are sometimes divided into two: The Alps tessinoises in the west of the collar of the Saint-Gothard and Adulated in the east. The Alps tessinoises include/understand the solid mass of the Monte Leone, located between the Simplon pass and the Col of Nufenen, and the southernmost part of the solid mass of Saint-Gothard between the collar of Nufenen and the collar of Saint-Gothard. In the south, in the area of the Lake Maggiore, the relief softens. To finish, the mountainous region of Adulated included/understood between the Col of San Bernardino and the collar of Splügen is called massive of Ceneri.
