The Alps 1
the Alps 1 is a station belonging to Espace Group whose seat is in Lyon. It is diffused at Grenoble (the Alps 1 Grenoble) and Gap (the Alps 1 the Alps of the South). The two antennas are completely distinct. In Isere, the Alps 1 is primarily a musical radio, proposing flashes of information the morning and the evening. In the Alps of the South, it is about a radio general practitioner proposing of the emissions, of many newspapers of local information and the music.
The Alps 1 belongs to the same group as Radio Space, ODS, VAN, Couleur 3, Fréquence Jazz, Générations and the Radio More. The majority shareholding is composed of Christophe Mahé (chairman of Group Space) and of Crédit Mutuel. The station was created by Jean-Marc Passeron at Gap into 1993 before being resold in Gerard Louvin in 2000 then in Espace Group in 2005. The station was launched in 1999 in Grenoble. The Alps 1 has been the radio most listened in Hautes-Alpes for several years, according to the Médiamétrie institute.
