That which returned by far is the second novel of the series the Conquerors of impossible the by Philippe Ebly. This novel was published for the first time in 1972 in the green Bibliothèque. The following episode is the Flash which erased all.
The summary
Whereas they explore the area of the Causses, in France, in the south of the Massif Central, Serge and his friends, Raoul and Marc Forestier, like his adoptive brother Xolotl, understand by another hiker the legend of a cursed cave. Suspectant the presence of pollutant gases, the small group decides to be equipped consequently, and discovers a surrealist lake at the bottom of which fleet one drowned of another age. The Foresters persuade their father doctor to try the reanimation of drowned.
