Burt L. Monroe, Jr (August 25th 1930 - May 14th 1994, Louisville, Kentucky) is an American ornithologist, member of the American Ornithologists' Union since 1953, then directing of the Commission of classification and nomenclature (1981-1994) and chair 1990 1992.
