Thalassa (television program)

Thalassa is a weekly emission of Télévision programmed the Friday towards 21:00 on France 3 and repeated on the television channel Planet Thalassa. It is presented by Georges Pernoud.
Its subjects are centered on sea (in Greek, thalassa ) and its environment, from the ecological, sporting, human and historical point of view. It succeeded in creating a true community of active televiewers impassioned by the sea, being found in cultural or sporting events, clubs, discussion forums, etc
It is, after figures and letters, the oldest emission to be still appeared on the French small screen, the first diffusion dating from the September 27th 1975.
At the beginning, the emission weekly and is recorded in advance. Starting from 1980 it becomes weekly and Georges Pernoud presents it. Following its profits of audience, the emission passes in premium-time to 20:30 starting from 1989.
For the season 2004-2005, the emissions are diffused on line French port, on board " Marité ", Goélette rented by the production. In September 2005 for the 30e birthday, thirty Phare S French are put at the honor.
