Tha Blue Herb

Tha Blue Herb is a group of Japanese Hip-hop formed in 1997. Composed of DJ O.N.O. and of Ill-Bosstino (also Boss the MC), two Japanese founded their own label ( Tha Blue Herb Records ) and makes parties of the rare artists of hip-hop be a success of regard apart from the archipelago. Discovered and launched by DJ Krush, these young people are based with Sapporo, in the island of Hokkaido, with the variation of the creative hearth of Tōkyō, and wish to promote a hip-hop which would not be a simple copy of their American models. At the end of 2004, their label takes importance with the exit of the first album of Shuren the fire .

History

Tha Blue Herb leaves first individual on their own label in 1997. In 1998, they leave their first album, Stilling, Still Dreaming . In 1999, DJ Krush request in Boss to come to sing at the time of a concert from its Ryu group. The following year, Krush finds Tha Blue Herb on its CD of remix Code 4109 . In 2001, Boss grates on the track Candle Chant of the album of Krush, Zen. Propelled in top of the scene Hip-hop Japanese woman, they leave their second album, drunk Sell our , in 2002. In 2004 they sign the B.O of Japanese film Heat . In 2005, it leaves a dvd documentary heading " That The Way Hope Goes" gathering the history of the group tha blue herb, their successes, extracts of live, interviews and well of others. In 2007, they make a return by signing their maximum " Phase 3" with the clip of phase 3, while connecting with an individual heading " Hip Hop Bangaichi" and a clip entitled " Kono Yoru Dake Ha". As well as an album entitled " Life Story" product by DJ o.n.o & DJ dye.

Other projects

Boss takes part in the group Herbest Moon (produced by Tha Blue Herb Records and Real Life) in company of the DJ Wa-Chall, with the influences reggae, dub and funk. O.N.O. left an album solo abstract hip-hop ( Six month At outside stairs ). It also took part in the group Shigam in company of Asa (a DJ which collaborated with Krush), Shibata Ichiro (beater of the group Yura Yura Teikoku and of the guitarist Sad-Hero . They have both taken part in the group Only For The Mindstrong which left a homonymous album, in company of Jun-Gold and Wa-Chall , always on their label. In 2006, Ill-Bosstino continues its project discreetly to make music original " Japanese System" Synchro; where it leaves an album " The Elaboration" in collaboration with Calm a music producer dub/electric. Shortly after the exit of their album " Life Story" in 2007, Ill-Bosstino continues its appearance where it is in featuring with seeda a heavy poid of the Japanese rap in the title " Mic Story" , a clip was possibly carried out.
