Théurgie
The théurgie (of the old Greek theos , God and ergon , work) is a form of Occultisme applicant to make it possible the man to communicate with the “ good spirits” and to call upon the supernatural powers for creditable purposes to reach God. This practice is opposed to the Goétie.
The théurgie affirms being the practical application of the laws of the matter, of densest until more high degrees of the spirit. Its followers estimate that by putting the man in direct contact with the Universelle conscience, it is the “royal roads” of the evolution.
Contrary to the occultism, the true theurgic actions are supposed not to be never monnayées but on the contrary offered to all. This rests on the idea that God cannot be bought and exempts its blessings with the rich person as with the poor.
Theurgic dimension is vertical, it is not with one way. Too much strongly divine, the théurgie is closed again and deprived the man of any possibility of including/understanding. If it is in other excess, too human, the man puts the hand on the divine one and objectifies it.
The happy medium theurgic is this place where the man and God cooperate, cocrée, collaborates. God calls, the man answers. The man calls, God hears it. This happy medium is a performatif place.
The théurgie was in particular practiced by Apollonius de Tyane, Cagliostro, Jamblique, Martines de Pasqually, Louis-Claude of Saint Martin's day, Jean-Baptiste Willermoz, Eliphas Levi, the Maître Philippe of Lyon, Papus and Alexandre Moryason.

The definition (above) of the théurgie is reduced too much, if account is held:- that all the medieval Cabals concern the théurgie, according to the best experts, of which Charles Mopsik (bibliography below);
- that this théurgie plunges its roots in the " Merkabah" initiates of Antiquity, and that well before the théurgie Neo-Platonist of Jamblique;
- that contemporary Christian thinkers, the such orthodoxe theologist Lossky, always claim théurgie connected with the church.
