Thériens

The thériens ( Theria ), of the old Greek θηρίον / thêrion , wild animal , subclass of the Mammalian class of the S, is animals which carry their small during their development, i.e. they do not lay of egg S. They are opposed to the Protothérien S like the Ornithorynque. They have a Ombilic.

This group is subdivided in two infra-classes:

  • the Métathérien S, which carry their small in an external pocket;
  • the Euthérien S, which carry their small in-house in a Placenta.
