Teymour Bakhtiar
Teymour Bakhtiar , born in 1913 with Isfahan, was the first director of SAVAK.
After its primary studies and secondaries in Iran and with Beirut (Lebanon), it enters to the military special École of Saint-Cyr military school. Then it continues its studies at the school of Saumur, school of the cavalry. In 1936, it is 2nd lieutennat in the Army. In 1946, commander, it takes part in the pacification of the area of Khamseh. In 1954, it is ordering armor-plated brigade of Kermanshah and supports the general Zahedi against the Prime Minister Mossadegh. It creates SAVAK with the assistance of the CIA and the Mossad. Lieutenant-general of army, the direction of this agency of safety is entrusted to him. In 1961, it is relieved of its function. It leaves the Iran for the France and then the Suisse. Starting from this date, it takes an active part more or less in all the movements of opposition to the Shah. It settles in Iraq and is combined with Saddam Hussein against the Shah. He is assassinated in 1970 at the time of a shooting party by agents sent by the SAVAK.
