Texas Longhorn Athletics is a club general sports university of the Université from Texas in Austin. The teams of Longhorns take part in the university competitions organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Texas belongs to division Big 12 Conference. Longhorns are present successfully in many disciplines so that the University from Texas in Austin was indicated the best in the sporting field in 2002 by Sports Illustrated.
American football
The most famous team of Longhorns is that of American football which gained four national titles: 1963, 1969, 1970 and 2005. Between 1936 and 2005, the team was classified in signal 10 to 23 recoveries. The team evolves/moves with the Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, enclosure of 85.123 places inaugurated the November 27th 1924.
Basketball
The team of Basket-ball of Longhorns reached the Final Furnace in 2003. In 2006, this formation celebrates its centenary.
Baseball
The team of Baseball gained six national titles: 1949, 1950, 1970, 1983, 2002 and 2005.
