Texas Instruments (or more usually in the electronics industry: TI ) is a company of electronics based with Dallas, re-elected in the field of the passive electronics components and the Semi-conducteur S. She in particular invented the first miniaturized chip, thus opening the way with the development of data processing such as one currently knows it. She is very present in the field of DSP. She markets certain derivative products, like the Calculatrice S, with the initials TI . Its logo takes again these two letters in relief on a stylized chart of the Texas.

Texas Instruments manufactures also many chipset for embarked apparatuses. For example the series of the processors OMAP.

TI always was among the 10 more important electronic chipmakers. In 2005, TI is number 3, behind Intel and Samsung, but in front of Toshiba and STMicroelectronics.
