Description
Tetranitromethane (TNM) has as a chemical formula C (NO2) 4.
Use
In biochemistry the TNM is used to carry out the Nitration Amino-acid Tyrosine.
Risks
The TNM is an hazardous substance since poison (and carcinogen) by inhalation, ingestion, and contact with the skin. It is moreover one explosive product when heated or put in the presence of impurities, in particular of hydrocarbons.
