Testudo werneri
The tortoise of Négev ( Testudo werneri ) is a terrestrial Tortue of the family of the Testudinidae discovered in 2001 by Jarmo Perälä. In truth, it was known before, but was regarded as a Tortue of Kleinmann before it is discovered that it had characteristics suitable to make a distinct tortoise of it.
