Testing (fight against discrimination)

Testing is a Anglicisme aiming at indicating a means of investigation.

The testing indicates a practice especially used by associations antiracists such as S.O.S Racism to highlight a Discrimination. She is recognized by the French courts. It is a question of bringing the proof of the discriminatory intention: it should for that be established that the only possible reason with a refusal is discrimination.

In answer to an offer of employment, one will send for example two CV equivalents (as far as possible), except with regard to the variable being tested (the origin, the sex, the age, etc). Thus, one will be able to try to establish a bond between a negative answer and these variables. if she asks just to see whether a refusal is opposed to him, she " push with the faute" and the testing will be invalidated. On the other hand, the other CV can not correspond to a real looking for a job.

This practice applies to the looking for a job but also to all the other aspects of work (wages, career,…) like at the discotheques and estate agencies, and virtually with any supply of goods or service.
