Tester
A tester , in Data-processing, is a person charged to test the Logiciel produces by the Programmeur S, and to deliver to regular intervals a report/ratio describing the errors found in the product. The errors are called “bugs” or “bugs”, and their description must include the stages necessary to reproduce the bug.
It represents the customer or the final user and, for this reason, it is charged to check the good performance of the software. One speaks then about tests of receipt.
Tests known as of Not-regression must then be made on the subsequent versions of the software, once the programmers say to have regulated the bug, to check that the modifications indeed corrected the error and news did not introduce any.
One can distinguish several types of tests:
- the functional test. Its objective is to check that the software behaves as envisaged by the Schedule of conditions.
- the linguistic test. In the case of a software distributed in several languages or several countries, the linguistic test aims to check the quality of the internationalization and the regionalization of the software.
