Test match
In Rugby with XV, a test match (word English) indicates a meeting between two national teams in-outside any official competition (world cup, tournament, Tri-nations).
Before the installation of the world cup in 1987, the large majority of the matches between national selections - except for the European teams of the Five Nations tournament - disputed in-outside official competitions; they were seen allotting the name of test (to be included/understood like test for strength ).
The statistics of the international teams generally make the difference between the test matches and the unit of the disputed parts, because certain teams play many matches against local teams (clubs, provinces).
A match against a minor nation can not be regarded as a test match: England has - Canada today, or New Zealand - Argentina, XV Scot - Italy in the Sixties or 70…
