Tessancourt-on-Bus shelter

Tessancourt-on-Bus shelter is a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France, located at approximately 17 km in the east of Mantes-the-Pretty and at 2 km in the north of Meulan.

The village is on banks of the Aubette, small river born in the Val-d'Oise which is thrown in the the Seine in Meulan.

Tessancourt-on-bus shelter is included in the perimeter of the Regional natural park of French Vexin.

The name of “Tessancourt” would be derived from a Germanic name of origin, Tactisa .

Geography

Located in the south of the French Vexin, bordering on the Val-d'Oise, Tessancourt-on-Bus shelter is a small rural district with the undulating territory. It is bordering on the communes of Gaillon-on-Montcient in the west, of Condécourt in the North-East, Meulan and Évecquemont in the south.

The commune is crossed by the secondary road MINOR ROAD 28 which connects road RN 14 to the area of Mantes-the-Pretty. Very attended by the Heavy truck S, this road was deviated and circumvents the center of the village.

History

  • Site inhabited as of the Neolithic time (tools in cut and polished Flints).
  • the May 7th 2000, a love at first sight put the bell-tower of the church low. It has had for restored summer.
