Tess

Tess is a film left in 1979. It is about a drama, of a lovesong realized by Roman Polanski based on the novel '' Tess d' Urberville '' of Thomas Hardy. The film was adapted by Gerard Brach, John Brownjohn, and Roman Polanski.

Trivia

  • Polanski made this film for Sharon Tate, which had left on its bedside a specimen of the book of Thomas Hardy with a note saying to him that this would make a good film, which is dedicated to him.
  • Although the film is held in England, it was filmed in France, in Normandy, in the splendid landscapes of the Cape of La Hague, close to Cherbourg, like in Brittany, in particular with Locronan (Finistere). Roman Polanski was indeed required for Détournement of minor to the the United States, and it could have been extradited since the England.
