Terry Bozzio

Terry John Bozzio is a Batteur and American Percussionniste born with San Francisco (California) the December 27th 1950. Of traditional formation, it then moved towards the rock'n'roll while preserving a very personal and sophisticated style.

It is particularly illustrated as a beater of Frank Zappa, of which it played the famous partition The Black Page , known as being a nightmare for the musicians. It is also characterized by its gigantic set-ups comprising inter alia many superimposed cymbals and granted percussions which allow him exhiber a play virtuoso of a large smoothness.

He collaborated with Tony Levin (the bass player of King Crimson and Peter Gabriel) and Steve Stevens of Billy Idol on discs of jazz rock'n'roll.

In the Nineties, after its participation within groups of jazz-rock'n'roll like the U.K., it founds the pop group Missing Persons with his wife, Dale Bozzio with the song and the guitarist Warren Cucurullo, another ex-musician of Frank Zappa.

Terry Bozzio left in round with the group Fantômas during the year 2005. It replaced Dave Lombardo there because this last was then in studio with Slayer (its group of origin).

In May and June 2006, it took part as a guest in the rounds of Zappa Plays Zappa in company of the son of the type-setter, Dweezil Zappa.

In 2007, it replaced David Silveria of the group KoRn (this last taking one year sabatic) for the recording of their last album. It was to take part in the round of the group for the festivals of summer but was replaced by Joey Jordison, beater of Slipknot.
