Territorial administrator

In France, the territorial administrator is a civil servant pertaining to a Cadre of employment of the Territorial public function, one of the three components of the French Public office. Belonging to the " category; A+" , this framework of employment gives access to higher employment in the territorial collectivities and their establishments (managing director for example).

This framework of employment, created by a decree of December 30th, 1987, comprises two ranks, administrator and administrator except class. The prizes winner of the assistance of territorial administrator are trained for eighteen months with the National institute of the territorial studies (INET), with Strasbourg. They share part of their formation with the pupils of the National school of administration (ENA).
