Terrence Malick

Terrence Malick (born the November 30th 1943 with Waco with the Texas, however, according to certain sources, it would have been born in Ottawa in the Illinois) is an American realizer .

Biography

His/her father, of origin Lebanon ease (Assyrian), worked in an oil company with the Texas (what could explain confusion with its birthplace).

He studied in the universities of Harvard and Oxford and taught the Philosophie with the MIT. He translated the principle of reason , of Martin Heidegger.

Terrence Malick is an atypical realizer owing to the fact that he turns very little (four feature-length films in 32 years) and that its films testify to a manifest ambition (full style, turning on site or testifying to a proximity with Nature, etc).

All its feature films are regarded as major works of the contemporary cinema.

Wishing to remain in the shade of the media and the public, his contracts of turning stipulate that it will not be taken any photography of him and that it does not have any obligation to make the promotion of his films. The public stereotypes of him are thus rare and especially date from the turning of the Red line and of wild Trotts It.
