Terrefort

The terrefort is the name given in Gascogne on the ground Argilo-limestone S heavy but fertile. They are deep and rich in clays, which confers plastic and adhesive grounds when they are wet. They require a great power of traction. On the hydrous level, the presence of clays allows a good retention of water. Chemically, it is a ground noncalcareous in the mass but saturated with calcium.
