Tereos

Tereos is a French sugar company born in 2003 from fusion from Beghin-Say, Union SDA and Union BS. It received its name only in 2004 and its stockmarket entry is planned for 2008.

It produces food sugars, sugar solutions, reversed sugars and excipients Saccharose.

In May 2007, Tereos is spirit to negotiate the resumption of Talfiie, specialized in the production of Amidon and alcohol food and industrial, to see #Reprise of Talfiie.

Resumption of Talfiie

Talfiie (Touches & Lyle Food & Industrial Ingredients Europe), specialized in the production of Amidon and alcohol food and industrial, is a subsidiary company of the English giant Tate & Lyle. Talfiie has nine production sites, including five in Western Europe and four in Eastern Europe. The latter could be begun again by American Archer Daniels Midland.

This repurchase, for an amount final of 500 million euros, and financed by an bond issue refundable in seven years, should make it possible Tereos to diversify in the activities of Amidon ery (in particular in paper and the paperboard), and especially it could recover new approvals of production of Bioéthanol.
