The Tennis-balloon (or football-Tennis) is a play become sport initiated by Switzerland Josef Rothenfluh whose principle consists in playing Football on a ground of Tennis by being made master keys with the top of the net of tennis. Sport spectacular and full with future, which will bore probably a day in France, because it is all the same the 3rd national sport as a Czech Republic and Romania. The international federation of Tennis-Balloon (FIFTA) is born in 1987. Ten nations are members (Austria, Brésil, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Suisse) while a score of others are candidates to the affiliation. Sport which requires to be structured in France, not recognized yet by the Ministry for Youth and the Sports, with however the existence of a French League, with approximately 25 clubs, and of a team of France, 4th with the last championships of Europe.

Types of competitions

There exists today in France 5 types of different competitions:

  1. the Simple one, with against one on a ground equivalent to the 2 squares of service of a traditional tennis court

  2. the Double Crusader, to 2 against 2, on a ground equivalent to the 2 squares of service of a traditional tennis court
  3. the Double, to 2 against 2, on a ground of equivalent size has a ground of volleyball
  4. triple, to 3 against 3, on a ground of equivalent size has a ground of volleyball
  5. the compound, which is played by club and which includes/understands several matches of simple, of double and triple.

a) the ground

  1. It is a ground of volley ball for its dimensions external (18m/9 m, a tolerance of approximately 40cm is applied according to the organization of the adventure playgrounds. A transverse line is traced with 6m medium of the ground, thus delimiting the obligatory zone of engagement, (the adversary cannot launch the balloon beyond this limit upon the engagement).
  2. a net of the tennis type separates the two parts of the ground in its medium, the height of this net will be of 1m05 (about 5cm)
b) the balloon It is a soccer ball of the n°5 type out of leather (pressure lower than the normal). This balloon is the official balloon for the practice of tennis balloon in national competitions and international. However, it is not obligatory for the various private tournaments or opens organized in France and in the whole world. It is manufactured as a Czech Republic and counsel by the IFTA (International Football Tennis Association)

c) the teams

  1. One can play into simple, double or triple.
  2. In the great national and international championships, the end result takes account of a combined classification of the three categories.
  3. the teams can be mixed.

d) the principal rules

  1. engagement is done with the foot and must be played in the zone of engagement of the opposing side while passing directly over the net.
  2. Into simple, engagement must be made into diagonal, if the player who is used for an even number of points, it engages of his right half of the ground towards the right half of his adversary. Contrary, if its total of point is odd.
  3. the balloon cannot touch the ground that only once by camp
  4. Only one key of ball without control by player and three keys of maximum ball by camp for the reference of the balloon to the opposing team are allowed
  5. Into simple the player is entitled to two keys of ball. The balloon can then touch the ground before or between the two keys.
  6. the balloon can be struck or touched by all the parts of the body, except for the arms and of the hands.

E) The calculation of the points

  1. All the points count.
  2. the point is lost if the balloon touches the ground outside the ground (apart from the lines), or structures of maintenance of the net, even chair of referee.
  3. the team which gains the point engages for the following point.
F) The match
  1. the matches proceed in 2 gaining sets of 11 points
