Temporary executive authority of the United Nations
The temporary executive Authority of the United Nations or AETNU - in English: in United Nations Temporary Executive Authority or “ UNTEA - is a temporary international administration installation, of October 1st 1962 at May 1st 1963, in the territory of Western New Guinea (or Irian Western), following a diplomatic agreement between the Indonesia, which asserted the territory and will end up annexing it, and the Netherlands, old colonial power.
This agreement had been approved by the General meeting of the United Nations. During the seven months of this mandate entrusted to the AETNU, this one was shouldered by a Security force of the United Nations (FSNU) - in English: in United Nations Security Forces or UNSF - composed of more than: 1500 soldiers, supported by various civil personnel.
History
When the Indonesia attacked the Western New Guinea, a plan of mediation was conceived to make it possible the the United Nations to manage this last country for seven months. The mandate finished when Western New Guinea became a province of Indonesia.
